Our Journey
Our journey began from a place of profound loss and immense love. After the stillbirth of our daughter, Alira, we kept going to show our other daughter, family, and friends that there is a path forward. We want to share that healing is possible and that light can return.
We found joy in making others smile. Hosting gatherings became our solace—block parties, birthdays, and more—moments that reminded us of hope and connection.
Thus, GOODLIFE was born.
Our Culture
We love our community of Merrick, NY. We live, work here, and it’s where we want to raise our daughter. Our small town of Merrick became the inspiration for creating GOOD LIFE. We envisioned a space where neighbors and locals could come together, unwind & enjoy genuine, friendly conversations.
We aim to create a harmonious environment that celebrates community & fun. GOOD LIFE is more than a juice bar and café; it’s a place filled with vibrant energy, connection & a welcoming spirit for all!
Meet Crystal!
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Merrick, Crystal Alcantara is a proud Merrick mom and owner of Good Life Club Haus. Of Puerto Rican descent and a Calhoun High ’07 graduate, she was inspired by her family of educators.
After earning her Early Childhood Education degree, she opened Tykes and Tots in 2015. Good Life became her next chapter, created from love and healing after losing her daughter Alira. Today, she continues building joyful spaces for families, including her daughter Brielle.

At GOOD LIFE, we offer a variety of spaces designed to cater to everyone. Whether you're looking to gather with friends, enjoy a healthy bite, sip on a cocktail or a smoothie, watch a game or play one, we've got you covered. For the little ones, there's a special area where kids can have their own club haus experience while adults relax and socialize.
